If something goes wrong
Because payment stays in escrow, you're never left chasing a refund after money has already left your account. Either party can raise a dispute before funds are released.

Why use escrow instead of paying cash upfront?expand_more
Paying upfront leaves you with no leverage if the work isn’t right. Escrow holds your money safely until you approve — so pros know the job is funded, and you know payment only moves when you’re satisfied.
When does the pro get paid?expand_more
Payment is released when you approve the completed work in the app. Providers can see the job is funded before they start, but funds only reach them after your approval.
What if I’m not happy with the work?expand_more
Raise a dispute before releasing payment. Our resolution team reviews the case, considers evidence from both sides, and mediates fairly. Funds stay protected until the dispute is resolved.
Can we pay outside the platform?expand_more
No. Keeping payments inside MySkillMatch protects both sides with escrow, verification and dispute support. Off-platform payments aren’t covered by our safeguards.
