Terms of Service

By accessing or using MySkillMatch — including our website, mobile app and related services (collectively, the “Platform”) — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These terms apply to everyone who uses MySkillMatch, whether as a client hiring a professional or as a provider offering services.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use MySkillMatch. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

Hiring, posting jobs, messaging and payments take place inside the MySkillMatch app. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Providers must complete identity (KYC) and skill verification before applying for jobs. You agree to provide truthful information during verification.

MySkillMatch is a marketplace that connects clients with independent service providers. We are not a party to the agreement for services between a client and a provider, and providers are not our employees or agents.

We facilitate matching, communication, payments and dispute resolution, but the work itself is performed by the provider under their agreement with the client.

When a client hires a provider, the payment for the job is held securely in escrow. Funds are released to the provider when the client approves the completed work, or in accordance with our dispute resolution process.

You authorise MySkillMatch and its payment partners to process payments, hold funds in escrow, and disburse funds as described in these terms.

Posting a job is free for clients. A service fee may apply at checkout and is always shown before payment. Providers pay a transparent fee on completed, paid jobs. All applicable fees are disclosed before a transaction is completed.

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by attempting to circumvent escrow or fees, posting unlawful or fraudulent content, harassing other users, or using the Platform for any illegal purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that put the safety or trust of the community at risk.

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences from completed jobs. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant MySkillMatch a licence to host, display and use it to operate and promote the Platform.

If a dispute arises about a job, either party may raise it through the app before funds are released. Our team will review the case and mediate fairly. Refunds, where appropriate, are handled through the escrow system.

The Platform is provided “as is”. While we verify providers and protect payments, we do not guarantee the quality of any work performed by independent providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MySkillMatch is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
