This policy applies to visitors of myskillmatch.com and people who join our waitlist or contact us. When the MySkillMatch app launches, an in-app privacy notice may supplement this policy.

Waitlist signups: name, email address, phone (optional), whether you plan to hire, provide services or join as a business, your city, and the service you need.

Contact form: name, email address, subject and message content.

Technical data: basic server and security logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited) when you use the site.

Cookies and local storage: we store your theme preference (light/dark), cookie consent choice, and whether you have seen our welcome splash. With your consent we may load privacy-friendly analytics (see section 8).

To add you to our launch waitlist and send you early-access updates you signed up for.

To respond to contact form messages and support enquiries.

To operate, secure and improve the website.

To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

Waitlist and contact data: your consent when you submit a form, and our legitimate interest in operating a pre-launch programme and communicating with interested users.

Technical logs and security: legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and reliable.

You may withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time by replying to a waitlist email or contacting us.

We use trusted processors to run the site and deliver email, including hosting providers, Resend (email delivery) and, when you consent, Plausible Analytics (website usage statistics). These providers only process data on our instructions and for the purposes described in this policy.

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of MySkillMatch, our users or others.

Waitlist entries are kept until you ask us to delete them or until they are no longer needed for launch communications, after which we delete or anonymise them within a reasonable period.

Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a limited period for record-keeping.

Server logs are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

Essential storage: theme preference, cookie consent status and first-visit splash state are stored in your browser’s local storage to improve your experience.

Analytics (optional): if you accept cookies on our banner, we may load Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly tool that does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. Plausible may collect page views, referrer, browser type and coarse location derived from IP. You can decline analytics in the cookie banner; the site works fully without it.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this website.

You can clear local storage through your browser settings. Declining analytics cookies will not block use of the site.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to certain processing, or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

MySkillMatch is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
